Every year the Sushi Awards enjoys continuing support from many organizations.

The Eat-Japan Sushi Awards 2009 was sponsored by Kikkoman, the world’s number one soy sauce company, and many other Japanese food corporations Kinjirushi, Clearspring and Mizkan and public institutions, as well as Japan’s largest sushi association, the All Japan Sushi Association. The Eat-Japan Sushi Awards also benefitted from being part of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries "Oishii Japan" programme of events, which seeks to introduce the culinary culture of Japan and promote Japan's premium quality products overseas.
