URAKASUMI'S SELECTED BRANDS![]() Junmai URAKASUMI Brewed using locally-grown Miyagi sake rice and specially raised brewer's yeast, this is a junmaishu which balances a clear, crisp taste with the distinct flavour of the rice. This is a sake which can be enjoyed either chilled or warm and makes an ideal accompaniment to a range of cuisine. The flavour of the rice and the hint of acidity in the sake act to enhance the taste of the food, drawing it out and making it more delicious. The flavour of the rice is drawn out by a slow brewing process which uses Urakasumi's own specially cultivated distillers' yeast. The rice's full flavour and hint of sourness can both be savoured, and this sake gives to the palate a sensation of being perfectly matured. Seimailbuai: 60.0% ABV: 15.0% - 16.0% Sake meter value: +1 Acidity: 1.4 ![]() Junmai Ginjo URAKASUMI Zen Using Miyagi Toyo-nishiki rice, this sake is also brewed with Urakasumi's own yeast over a lengthy period at low temperature. Stored in a refrigerated tank, this sake develops a subtle fragrance and mild taste. In keeping with the sake's name, the box and label are decorated with zenga, ink paintings inspired by Zen philosophy. This is a light and crisp sake, a delicious example of a ginjoshu.
