Selecting only choice sake rice in order to make the finest sake, the Urakasumi brewery uses rice grown locally in Miyagi. The brewery aims to create sake with a balanced flavour which the drinker will never tire of.
Chief brewer Juichi Hirano has received many awards for his work and is reknowned as one of Japan's master brewers. The young apprentices who have come under his tutelage are dedicated to preserving both the techniques and the spirit of Saura's sake production. Saura is firmly committed to the training of skilled young brewers who will preserve these traditions in the future. |
