MANSAKUNO HANA'S SELECTED BRANDS

MANSAKUNO HANA Daiginjo - Japanese Sake

MANSAKUNO HANA Daiginjo

The name of this sake, the flagship product of the Hinomaru brewery, is taken from the Japanese mansaku flower. This was chosen at the time of a 1981 TV drama of the same name which was set in the Akita region. The bottle is decorated with beautifully drawn ink, a stylistic innovation in the early 1980s, but now widely imitated by other breweries. Matured for two years, this daiginjoshu has a full bouquet and a satisfyingly clean flavour which will sooth away the drinker's worries.

Type: Daiginjoshu  Capacity: 720ml, 1800ml  Taste: Light & Dry
Seimaibuai: 45.0%  ABV: 15.5%  Sake meter value: +3.5  Acidity: 1.2

MANSAKUNO HANA Junmai Ginjo - Japanese Sake

MANSAKUNO HANA Junmai Ginjo

Brewed from 100% Miyama Nishiki premium sake rice polished to 50% of its original size, making it technically fall within the premium daiginjo class, this sake is extremely mild and drinkable owing to the care taken in the maturation process. Stored in the bottle for two years at low temperatures of around 5 degrees Celsius, this is a ginjoshu with an exceptional balance achieved in both fragrance and flavour. The brewery is confident that the drinker will not tire of this rich, dry sake.

Type: Ginjoshu  Capacity: 300ml, 720ml, 1800ml  Taste: Medium Rich & Very Dry

Junmaishu MANSAKUNO HANA - Japanese Sake

Junmaishu MANSAKUNO HANA

The Mansakuno Hana brand, just like the flower it is named after, is beautiful, elegant sake which is not overly showy. This rich, dry junmaishu has the finely-textured flavour which is only possible to achieve through brewing in snow-covered areas. Clearly discernible within the mild flavour and gentle fragrance of the sake is the delicious, vivid taste of the original rice. Hinomaru Jozo has used 100% premium Miyama Nishiki sake rice, grown locally in Akita prefecture, to create a memorable and smoothly drinkable junmaishu.

Type: Junmaishu  Capacity: 720ml, 1800ml  Taste: Rich & Dry
Seimaibuai: 60.0%  ABV: 16.5%  Sake meter value: +4.5  Acidity: 1.5
