TENZAN'S SELECTED BRANDS![]() TENZAN Hotarugawa Rice produced locally in Saga prefecture has been polished meticulously in the brewery and combined with pure water which has been selected as being among the top 100 in Japan. The resulting junmai daiginjoshu, named "Firefly River" after the town of Ogi's famed fireflies, has an elegant taste and is smooth to drink. It has been awarded the prestigious gold award two years in succession at the USA National Sake Competition held in Hawaii. Type: Junmai Daiginjoshu Capacity: 720ml Taste: Light & Medium Dry

It has been a favourite among Tenzan's customers for 30 years and is one of the sakes the brewery is most proud of. All of the flavour has been successfully brought out of the sake rice giving this a rich depth and mellowness. As it is undiluted genshu, it can be enjoyed served on the rocks. While it is delicious when served chilled, heating this sake reveals even more of the rice's flavour. It has been awarded top prize for three years in succession in the atsukan section of the Sake Tasting Competition, organised annually by the local tax office.
