TSUKASABOTAN'S SELECTED BRANDS![]() TSUKASABOTAN Junmai Horei The soft water which flows from the peaks of the mountains in Shikoku combines with strictly selected premium sake rice, grown with no artificial fertilizers or other additives, to produce this pure junmaishu. This sake's distinguishing features are its mellow fragrance and rich, smooth flavour which retains the flavour of the rice. While it has plenty of body, it also manages to possess a clear crispness which makes it a delight to drink. Type: Junmaishu Capacity: 1800ml Taste: Light & Dry Seimaibuai: 65.0%
ABV: 15.0% - 15.9% Sake meter value: +5 Acidity: 1.54 ![]() TSUKASABOTAN Tokubetsu Junmai Named after local samurai hero Sakamoto Ryouma's Eight Point Plan (Senchu Hassaku), which was instrumental in returning power to the Emperor in the Meiji Restoration of 1868. In keeping with Kochi prefecture's reputation for producing some of the driest sake in the country, this is extremely dry, with a satisfying crisp edge which sets it apart from more run-of-the-mill sake. Smooth to drink, it has a very light fragrance which works well with the flavour, which is extremely dry. It complements slightly oily foods with mild flavours. It has proved very popular with diners at Chanterelle, the top French restaurant in New York, and many of the world's greatest sommeliers have responded with delight and surprise at the quality of this sake.
