TAMANOHIKARI Omachi Junmai Daiginjo - Japanese Sake

TAMANOHIKARI Omachi Junmai Daiginjo

This premium sake uses only the famed Omachi rice, which is polished until it is 48% of its original size. The resulting drink itself has a full and well-rounded taste, with sufficient acidity to allow a clean finish. It may be enjoyed slightly chilled, at around 10 degrees Celsius, or warmed to around 42 degrees, and is particularly popular outside Japan among lovers of fine wine. It is also the preferred sake of Japan Airlines's First and Business Classes, where it serves as a representative of fine Japanese sake worldwide, and comes in a convenient 500ml size that meets EU requirements.

This sake is made from the finest sake rice strains including Yamada Nishiki and Miyama Nishiki. The rice is polished to 60% of its original size, which results in a clean, light tasting sake. Moreover, thanks to its alcohol content of less than 15%, Tokusen Junmai Ginjo may be enjoyed either chilled or slightly warmed, with no loss of smoothness, and is ideal for drinking as an accompaniment to food. It is also available in regular 750ml bottles, making it convenient for restaurants and stores in Europe and elsewhere.

TAMANOHIKARI Yamahai Junmai Ginjo - Japanese Sake

TAMANOHIKARI Yamahai Junmai Ginjo

This drink is made using the traditional yamahai method, which relies on naturally occurring lactic acid and yeast to bring about fermentation, and is brewed slowly to ensure that the full flavour inherent in the rice is drawn out. Thanks to the presence of lactic acid, succinic acid and various amino acids, the drink boasts an exceptionally well-rounded flavour. Not many yamahai sakes attain junmai ginjo status, and the Tamanohikari variant is justly renowned. It is ideal when enjoyed slightly warmed, and again comes in a convenient 750ml bottle.

Type: Junmai Ginjoshu  Capacity: 750ml  Taste: Rich & Dry  Seimaibuai: 60.0%
