GEKKEIKAN Horin - Japanese Sake

GEKKEIKAN Horin

Brewed slowly at a low temperature using Kyoto's renowned fushimizu water, this is a high quality junmai daiginjoshu with a rich fragrance and smooth taste. This sake is named after two mythical animals from ancient Chinese tradition: the fantastic long-tailed ho-o bird and the kirin, a virtuous being resembling a cross between a deer and ox. These creatures were highly regarded by the Chinese who felt the ho-o and kirin symbolised good tidings and fortune.
