A comprehensive menu designed to showcase the very best of Japanese cuisine, cooked with style.
COCORO31 Marylebone Lane, London W1U 2NH ![]() Cocoro is a great place to come to get a taste of authentic Japan. There’s super-fresh sushi platters (served at the sushi bar by a traditionally trained sushi chef), a la carte meat and fish dishes including beef tataki with spicy ponzu vinegar sauce and grilled Iberico pork in miso paste, and big bowls of nourishing ramen noodles. Look out for the seasonal dishes offered up on the regularly changing menu, including cold reimen noodles for the summer; rare in London but perfect on a hot day. Leave room for dessert too: choose from a traditional dessert or the weekly special cake made with Japanese flavours – we tried a melt-in-the-mouth cheesecake infused with yuzu and dotted with azuki beans, simply divine. There’s a brilliant basement bar too, complete with Japanese style bench seating and an impressive range of shochu, including hard-to-find premium blends. Seating twenty, this is a great place to come with friends and share a range of dishes, izakaya-style. |
