KitKat fans! This is a real treat. Uji matcha-flavoured KitKats made with white chocolate…mmmm.

Not so good for dunking in normal tea, though. I might try, next time, dunking in hot milk. Or hot matcha milk. Or a matcha latte. Or is that overkill?

These days, it appears that it’s bento boxes. The Guardian has posted this article about the surging popularity of the bento in the wake of the current horrible recession.
I appreciate the principle, but as someone who has just remembered to eat lunch, at half past three, and is tucking into a slightly unpleasant bowl of soup bought round the corner, I doubt I will ever get up early enough in the mornings to make myself any delightful treats for lunch…clearly, I need a man to do it for me.
