Try the matcha latte at Beard Papa in Oxford Street. The one i had was really good. Full of Matcha flavour and the right balanced of milk and sweetness. Well, I might have only been lucky that day that everything fell in the right place.

I don't think this is cure for hangover, but I always drink 'Mentsuyu' when I have a hangover in Japan. I don't know why, but I always eat 'Zaru-soba/ Zaru-udon' at 'Soba-ya' (Soba noodle restaurant) or buy it from 'Konbini' (convenience store) in Japan and taste of 'Mentsuyu' makes me feel be cured.

Well, it is not easy to do that here, so I am trying not to drink too much!
Oh! just in case, I will not recommend drinking 'Mentsuyu' ONLY!

Does anyone know where shochu could be purchased in London? I am not happy with the very limited selection available at a small number of Japanese grocery stores. Thank you.

Fantastic looking forward to reading through the Gourmet pages, although, your Japanese friend is not wrong at all, British food has indeed been renowned to be classified as bland, boring and horrible - at least the international community seems to think so. Kudos.
