Okay…back from Japan at last. In no particular order, in the past two and a half weeks I have eaten such exotic delights as - soybean flavoured ice cream, yam flavoured ice cream, black sesame flavoured ice cream, steamed buns filled with ox tongue, little creamy cakes made with squid ink, raw fish raw fish and more raw fish, “sandwiches”, a hambaaguu (as opposed to hamburger) filled with potato salad, fish eyes, fish eggs, hard-boiled eggs (white), hard-boiled eggs (brown), stinky dried squid, three entire crabs (large) and some fairly distressing gloop.
