Confirming itself as one of the world’s leading producers of mad scientists, Japan’s latest scientific innovation is the ‘fish-bot‘, realistic fish and sealife-shaped robots that can be used to teach school children about sealife and our relationship with the ocean.
I’ve just watched the video and I am amazed.

Sushi. It’s so, like, last decade. Fresh fish, beautifully aerated rice, gorgeously mis-matched crockery, the tacit chef slowly sharpening his knife - yawn. Need something to liven up your sushi? Well, why not do something really modern and eat it off a naked lady. Yes, a naked lady. This, ladies and gentlemen, is the “art” of nyotaimori, or eating sushi of naked laydeez.
Women have long been discouraged - or simply not allowed - to train as sushi chefs because of a belief that women’s hands are warmer than men’s, and the heat can ruin the fish. Interesting, then, that it’s okay to serve from a woman’s body, which is likely hotter than her hands. Ahh, but it’s one of those “ultimate dining experiences” and they’re even wearing pants, so it can’t be all that creepy. I do recall someone doing this on Come Dine with Me, but with a man. And it was, frankly, disgusting. Chest hair with your salmon nigiri, anyone? Mmmm.
